Social Skills Training
Strong social skills are essential for children to build relationships, communicate effectively, and navigate various social situations with confidence. However, some children struggle with understanding social cues, initiating conversations, taking turns, or managing their emotions in social interactions. These challenges can be more pronounced in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social anxiety, or other developmental delays.
At Velora Wellness, our Social Skills Training Program is designed to help children develop the necessary skills to interact successfully with their peers, teachers, and family members. Through structured sessions, role-playing, group activities, and guided practice, we teach children how to interpret social cues, express themselves appropriately, and engage in meaningful interactions.
Our program focuses on key areas such as making and maintaining friendships, understanding emotions (both their own and others’), improving conversational skills, conflict resolution, and appropriate behavior in different social settings. By building these essential skills, we help children gain confidence, reduce social anxiety, and develop positive relationships, setting them up for long-term social and emotional success.

How Our Therapists Can Help Your Child Improve:
- We use structured play-based activities, role-playing, and interactive exercises to help children learn and practice essential social skills in a safe and supportive environment.
- Our therapists teach children how to understand facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice to improve non-verbal communication.
- We provide personalized strategies to help children with social anxiety feel more comfortable in group settings, enabling them to participate in conversations and peer interactions confidently.
