School Readiness Program
Starting school is a major milestone in a child’s life, but for many children, the transition can be overwhelming. Adjusting to a structured environment, following instructions, socializing with peers, and developing early academic skills can be challenging, especially for children with developmental delays, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing issues, or behavioral concerns.
At Velora Wellness, our School Readiness Program is designed to equip young children with the essential skills they need to have a smooth and confident transition into a school setting. This program focuses on building foundational skills in communication, cognitive abilities, social interactions, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and early literacy and numeracy. Through a play-based, structured approach, we help children develop independence, attention span, and the ability to follow routines, setting them up for success in a classroom environment.
By preparing children for the demands of school, we help reduce anxiety, improve adaptability, and boost confidence, ensuring they enter their academic journey with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

How Our Therapists Can Help Your Child Improve:
- Our program focuses on improving attention, listening skills, and the ability to follow classroom instructions, making it easier for children to adapt to a structured school routine.
- We enhance social skills by teaching children how to communicate effectively, take turns, share, and interact positively with their peers.
- Our therapists use sensory-friendly techniques to help children who may struggle with classroom noise, movement, or transitions, ensuring a comfortable learning experience.
